Co-Curricular

School Trips

School trips are an important part of the way we develop pupils’ understanding of the curriculum and enhance their self-confidence at Hulme.

A very wide range of trips and visits are undertaken every year at Hulme. Prep school children enjoy a range of visits designed to help their understanding of the curriculum and the world around them. Recent highlights included: Manchester Museum and the Sea Life Centre.

Other trip highlights have included Year 3 dressing as evacuees for their trip to the Rochdale Fire Museum; Year 4 becoming Romans for the day in Chester and Year 5 visiting the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield. We also offer bi-annual Skiing Holidays and a four-day trip to Amsterdam.

A real rite of passage for our Prep School children are the annual residential visits to Castleshaw and Kingswood in Staffordshire where they undertake a range of exciting outdoor activities.

Senior school pupils are also well travelled with educational trips and visits. Recent highlights have seen: a CCF Expedition to North East Lapland in Arctic Sweden and in 2018, a visit to the Great Wall of China. A trip to our sister school in Ghana, a Classics trip to Italy and visits to Barcelona and Berlin led by the Modern Language Department.
