Pre-Prep (ages 2-4)
Welcome to Hulme Grammar’s Pre-Prep School; a school rated ‘ double excellent’ at its most recent inspection, which puts each individual child at the centre of everything that we do. Our aim is that every child reaches their full potential from an early age. Our highly qualified staff members are passionate about childcare and your child’s development, and strive to provide the best possible learning experiences for your child.
In the Pre-Prep School we are fortunate to be situated on a beautiful site that has its own woodland area where our Forest School is located. We also have our own; swimming pool, sports hall, playground and extensive fields and play areas.
Our Pre-Prep children are taught in a beautiful purpose built building. Our staff create an environment that is safe and stimulating for our pupils, which encourages them to become independent and active learners.
Children are taught in groups with high adult to pupil ratios. Every child has a Key Worker who is responsible for taking particular care of that child, and who liaises with family members to ensure that each individual’s needs are identified and met.
We strongly believe in working in partnership with parents and carers, and our open door policy allows us to liaise informally with you on a daily basis. Parents receive formal feedback about their child’s progress on a half termly basis either via parents’ evening or through a written report.
Our bespoke curriculum will give your child the very best start to life. A typical week in our Pre-Prep will include: daily maths and English sessions, Key Worker time, baking, visits to the continuous provision areas; such as the creative area or the construction area, and lessons taught by subject specialist teachers such as: Forest School, Baby Ballet, swimming lessons (for our pre school year), music and PE.
In 2019 we were inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate and were found to be an ‘excellent’ school, their highest rating. Here are some of the comments that the inspectors made:
- Pupils achieve highly in a wide range of academic and other areas such as sports, music, drama and outdoor pursuits.
- Pupils have high levels of self-esteem and self-confidence and are prepared well for the next stages of their education.
- Pupils of all ages demonstrate excellent communication skills; from an early age they listen carefully to one another and articulate their thoughts expertly.
But don’t just take their word for it, we’d be delighted to show you what we can offer you and your child. Please contact email@example.com to book a personal tour and meet the team.
