The opportunities for children to develop a love of the arts begin in our Pre-Prep School with dancing, drama and an expressive arts week. Pre-Prep and Prep children get their first taste of performance in our high quality summer and Christmas concerts.

Drama is strong throughout the school and last year Hulme students from the Prep School to sixth form achieved 83% Distinctions in LAMDA examinations. Junior pupils compete annually in the Oldham Rotary Club Choral Speaking Competition and AJIS Music festivals. The annual school show is a highlight of the extra-curricular year as cast and crew combine to produce vibrant youth theatre – Beauty and the Beast in 2022.

There is a long history of fabulous music at Hulme. There are high quality instrumental  concerts for Prep and Senior School pupils and the annual Music Festivals are thoroughly enjoyed. There are successful choirs in both the Prep and Senior Schools and the Annual Carol Service in Manchester has long been a way for pupils and parents to mark the beginning of the festive season.
