Oldham Hulme Grammar School raises money for local charities

During the school year 2022/2023 Oldham Hulme Grammar School raised over £5,500 for charity.

Throughout the year we hosted a number of events to raise money for wonderful causes, many of which are local to our school and important within our community. Thanks to our Hulme family, the total raised was more than £5,500!

We held our Reindeer Run for local hospice Dr Kershaw’s, a Spring Fair and Diversity Day for Jolly Josh, a local care facility for children with complex disabilities and their families, and a Pride Celebration for Just Like Us, the LGBT+ young people’s charity.

Millicent and Charlie held a bake sale to raise money for their travel to Lourdes, where they planned to volunteer supporting disabled pilgrims, and we also hosted the Amnesty International Club’s ice lolly sale.

Amy Vose, (New) Head of Philanthropy and Activism, has been blown away by what we have achieved this year, and says “our Hulme families are really something special.”

Very well done to all involved, and we look forward to hosting more special events next school year.
